Obituary of Nancy Pauls

On Thursday, January 13, 2022, our mother, Nancy Lillian Pauls passed away peacefully in her sleep at Cedarwood Manor, Steinbach, MB. Now safely with her husband Peter Pauls, daughter Celia and son Wendell, we find ourselves struggling for words to describe who this amazing Little Lady was to us. So, we will offer up some of our dad’s own words to honour our mother.

Dad counted himself…. “fortunate to know a fellow pilgrim called Nancy Lillian Enns, my classmate, my sweetheart, my ever-accommodating wife, My Alpha>Omega, a direct gift from God. She has earned the love, admiration and respect of myself, our children and grandchildren. We were rewarded with six children: Erroll, Marla, Wendell, Celia, Lyle and Nina… boy/girl/boy/girl/boy/girl. Nancy, a Permanent Class A Teacher, taught in a two-room school in Burwalde, MB. She pioneered the first Morden School class for mentally handicapped students. She set aside her career to an even higher calling…a full time MOM. She is a past President of Kinettes, a Sunday school Superintendent and has been working ever since as a volunteer for the Mennonite Central Committee Thrift Shop. She never claimed the lime-light of front stage centre!” Thanks Dad.

Mom leaves to mourn her passing: her children and their incredible spouses; grandchildren: Jodie, Jeffrey, Alana, Kyle, Dallas, LindsayRae, Nyk, Aidan, Angus, Lacey, Jessica, Alyssa, Stephen and all of their “chosen fellow pilgrims”.

Your Clouds have been lifted, no more masks to hide your loved ones’ faces. We will miss your gentle spirit Mom, but will see you again.
