Harvey was my cousin but i do not remember him
growing up as he was 15 years older than me. I do remember him
as a foreman working at the poultry processing plan the first year I had a full time summer job. Much more recently Harvey travelled with us to Oasis Mexico to work on the church building there. After that we did drive to the copper canyon for some sight seeing.

My husband and I had the privilege of having Harvey marry us in 2018. You will be greatly missed. Thank you for all the wise knowledge you have given me over the years. Thank you for everything you have done for me and for my husband.

I had the privilege of having Harvey on a short mission trip, as we did work on an orphanage in Nicaragua. What I remember about him was how the children were attracted to him. It certainly helped as a magnet that his pockets were always loaded with 'caramelos' candy. He loved the children and was loved by them. Hilda and I extend our condolences to his extended family.

As GMU missionaries we worked with Harvey at WHS from 1980-1988. Harvey was a dedicated hard worker. He loved serving the Lord and was always there whenever needed to do any job that required his abilities. He was a jack of all trades. He was a real friend and we appreciated his dedication and willingness to help where ever and when ever needed. He will be missed by all who knew him. He is at peace and with the Saviour he knew and loved. Rest in the presence of Christ.

Harvey during his time here in Eleuthera Bahamas was known as a Christian first and a gentleman second, Harvey was well liked by many, many of our children knew him aa a steadfast man with high principals and dedication.
Many persons {Students from Windermere High School} now adults, speak with exceptional knowledge here on Eleuthera and through the Bahamas, about Bro Plett who forged friendships and assisted as to his ability.
30 years in one location is like a life time, for Harvey it was ministry and commitment, I believe he is reaping his reward for a job well done in service.
May his soul rest in peace.
Francis M. Carey JP{Elder}
President of the Association of the Assemblies of Brethren in the Commonwealth of the Bahamas
