Margaret's passion for music truly was a gift to the community and her church families. She played for many choirs and men's groups that I was a part of, where her talent shone through, as well as the witty and humorous comments. My father led many of these groups, and always had a great appreciation for Margaret. Two of our daughters had also taken lessons with her. Her commitment and service in this area has left a legacy of countless young people in the region that are better musicians because of her.

I am another former piano student who had many hours of learning under Margaret in her living room, and have many fond memories of those lessons at the piano (probably my most favourite song ever being a duet of "the Holy City" with Marla). Margaret will be missed by many, and yet I can imagine the joy on her face as she is both listening to and participating in the most beautiful music in heaven, singing praise to her Lord. Praying for comfort for the family and friends who will feel her loss most deeply.

Margaret was a wonderful teacher to me and my children. She inspired excellence through her own love for music, and was so kind with our children.

Mrs Boshman was my first music teacher. She would come to the South oaks School gym change room where an old piano had been rolled into and spend her time teaching us young kids how to read music and rhythm. Eventually we moved into her living room where to my amazement she had two full-sized pianos! Now that makes for a great duet! I'm thankful for my years under her instruction which eventually inspired me to be a teacher in our community as well. May the gift of music live on through all who were blessed by her!
