Obituary of Eloi Gagnon
Eloi was a man of great faith and wisdom capable of inspiring and enabling his children and grandchildren to go beyond duty with a sense of humour and inner peace. He was the heart of our family. Our many gatherings were celebrated with warmth, laughter and so much caring for one another. He leaves five generations: 35 grandchildren, 77 great-grandchildren, 15 great-great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law Esdras Lord and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eloi was predeceased by his wife Mary (Fabas), a son Jean, his parents Henri and Philomène Gagnon, his brothers Paul-Emile, Nestor and Arthur, a sister Hélène Hajdu, a son-in-law Jean-Léon Lord and a grandchild Marcel Lord.
Our appreciation goes to Dr. Paul DeMoissac, the staff of Villa Youville, to Sisters Irène Rioux and Marguerite Forest, sgm. Our heartfelt gratitude to Mgr Albert Fréchette, P.H. and all those who took time to visit him and our family.
Viewing at 2:00 p.m. will be followed by the Mass of the Resurrection and held at the St. Joachim Roman Catholic Church, La Broquerie, MB on Friday, August 13, 2010.
