Obituary of William Sandul
Peacefully, on Sunday, December 26, 1999, with his family at his side, William (Wasyl) Sandul of Carrick, beloved husband of Mary, passed away at the Vita Hospital.
A private family service was held at the Birchwood Funeral Chapel with interment following in the Badger Cemetery.
Wasyl Sandul was born in Arbakka, Manitoba on October 19, 1913 to Mickay and Cija Sandul. He attended school in Arbakka. Later, married to Mary Wasylynchuk, he moved to Carrick, Manitoba where he lived until his passing on December 26, 1999.
He enjoyed his hobby farm and rebuilding and repairing cars, trucks, tractors, and old farm machinery. He also enjoyed socializing – telling stories and all his old friends.
He was predeceased by his parents Mickay and Cija Sandul, 2 brothers Peter and John, and 3 sisters Mary Samborski, Dora Nastiuk, and Lena Rothchild.
He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Mary, 2 sons: Bill (Pat) of Edmonton, Alan (Thomasine) of Nanaimo, 4 daughters: Elsie (Peter) Lupky of Woodridge, MB, Jean Norgate (Francis) of Elkford, BC, Ruth Yeryk (Ron) of Kamloops, BC, and Debi Sandul of Lethbridge, AB, as well as 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Also surviving is 1 sister Katherine (Charlie) Yeryk of Windsor, ON.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to staff and doctors at the Vita Health Care Centre who were especially caring.
He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Should friends so desire memorial donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
