Bill was born on June 12, 1925 to Herbert and Edith Grier. On October 1, 1944, he married Joyce MacLennan of Greenridge. They have six children, Cheryl (Earl) Robinson with three grandchildren. Terry (Marlene) with three grandchildren. Pat, with two grandchildren. Chris (Daphne) with two grandchildren. Greg (Marina) with five grandchildren. Russel (Carol) with three grandchildren. They also have six great grandchildren. Bill and Joyce farmed all their lives, until ill health forced them to retire and buy a home in Emerson. Bill was predeceased by sister Mabel (Cecil) Kleinsteuber, brothers Roy and Morris. Left to mourn are his wife Joyce, their six children and spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Bill’s brother Ross (Gertie) Lewis (Ferne) Clifford (Sonya), Sisters: Shirley(Art Philp) and Ada (Bill Tinkess). Two sisters-in-law Audrey (Morris) and Edna (Roy) Cremated remains to be scattered on the family farm at a later date. Funeral service with Reverend Lesley Calder officiating will be held at the Greenridge United Church on Monday, January 24th a t 2:00 p.m. If friends so desire, donations may be made to the Greenridge Memorial Fund.
