Jessie passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2000 at the Bethesda Hospital, Steinbach, MB. at age 87 years. She leaves to cherish her memory four sisters: Sara Peters, Katharina and Anne Unger all of Steinbach, Mary Voth of Winnipeg, and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents Cornelius and Sara Unger, two sisters: Helen and Betty, two brothers: Cornelius and George, two brothers and sister in infancy, two brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law. The funeral service was held Friday, June 16th at 2: 00 p.m. from the Steinbach Mennonite Church with Rev. Paul Dyck and Rev. Abe Neufeld officiating. Interment followed in Heritage Cemetery. Viewing was held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Thursday June 15th from 7-8 and at the church prior to the service. If friends so desire donations in her memory may be made to Canadian Bible Society or Leprosy Mission K.M. 81 Paraguay. Pallbearers were her nephews: Harold Voth, Otto Voth, Art Voth, Pete Peters, Ernie Doerksen and Abe Koop. The family would like to thank the nurses of P.C.H., E.T.U. and Bethesda Hospital for the good care she received during her stay there . We would also like to thank the wonderful Home Care workers and Drs. Large and Ilchyna for their help and support during her 6 ½ years of illness.
