Vera Kliewer, nee Teichroew, age 84, of Steinbach, Manitoba, passed away peacefully September 7, 2006 at Bethesda Hospital. Vera was born in Gretna, Manitoba, July 20, 1922. She was married to Henry Kliewer on May 24, 1942. Left to cherish her memory are daughter Sandra (James), granddaughter Kristal (Doug), and great-granddaughter Nicole. She is also survived by one sister Tillie (Harv), brothers Benno (Dora) and Harold (Inez). She was predeceased by her husband Henry in October 2005. After a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s, Mother is free to breathe everlasting life. Mom was devoted to her family and her greatest source of pride and love was shown through her interest in their lives. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 11, 2006, at 2:00 PM at Birchwood Funeral Chapel with interment at Heritage Cemetery. The family thanks the doctors and nursing staff at Bethesda Hospital for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bethesda Foundation Box 939, Steinbach, MB R5G 1A3.
